City trip to Groningen
Our university viewing tour brought us to Groningen and the City Hotel Groningen, as it was one of the few hotels that had a family room available. The hotel is conveniently located near the city center. We received a spacious room with a king sized bed and a third bed which was a fold out chair, which was not as comfortable as the main bed. Otherwise the room was modern and had a large bathroom. The hotel also offers parking for a fee, which is well worth the cost compared to on-street parking. Breakfast in the morning was good. We did have a couple of specific requests, which the hotel staff could help is with. Thank you!
Good Location, near center, good room but to small.. the bathroom was too small. Coffee available on the room and a very nice free cards to bring home. A modern hotel that I recommend for a short journey
As our daughter will attend University we visited to explore Groningen, it's shopping locations, public transport and accommodations. The Hotel is conveniently located with good food and service and with great assistance of Mr. Niels van den Bosch, General Manager.
I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over the past few years. A change of name has not detracted from the facilities, a certain amount of refurbishment having already been undertaken in the rooms. Will certainly be staying there again in the future.
Great hotel with even better tagf
Stayed here for a 4 day business trip and found the hotel conveniently located, with well apportioned rooms and great staff. I was initially given a room in the basement which I asked to change immediately for one higher up at the front of the hotel. This request was easily accommodated and done with the minimum of fuss. Breakfast is functional with plenty of choice, and the bar is great for an early evening beer after a long days work
