Noorderplantsoen

In the centre of Groningen, you can find the Noorderplantsoen. In the past the place was a sand ridge, later it became a city wall, then it was transformed into a fancy garden, before it became the nowadays buzzing place where people of all ages come together. During the nicer days out, the Noorderplantsoen is the place for students to enjoy the sun and get some fresh air.

The place to shop, grab a bite to eat or enjoy a drink? The Folkingestraat is the nicest and hippest street in town. Besides hotspots, you will also find historical works of art throughout the street. The Folkingestraat runs from the Vismarkt to the Zuiderdiep, making it a great place to walk.
